This is a very fine sewing set. It has a leather case with brass corners. There is a round brass plate in the center that has the initials “TH” carved into it with great detail and decoration. The back of the case has a big brass hinge that stretches all the way across the back. The front of the case has a brass latch, attached to the case using screws, not pins. Inside is a perfect condition mirror. The mirror can be propped up, and pivots using two hinges. On the other side it a red silk pillow to protect the mirror from the tools and vice-versa. The pillow is in perfect condition. Behind the pillow are the MOP tools. All of them are original and in perfect condition. Each tool fits into it’s own spot made to fit that specific tool. The tools are a MOP button hook, MOP croket hook, one of two scissors, a MOP pocket knife (it has 2 blades, one small and one large. Both blades look new and are razor sharp.), the second pair of scissors, a MOP nail file, and a MOP perfume corkscrew. Like I said, this is a very fine detailed set and is in perfect condition. I don’t think it was ever used.

Beautiful Sterling silver manicure set.  The case is made of black leather which has a small latch.  The inside of the case is a light pink.  The set contains a perfume corkscrew marked Sterling, a hair brush which is marked with some asian characters, a longer brush that is also marked with asian characters, a small pair of scissors marked 2 on the blade, a nail buffer also marked with asian characters, and a nail item with beautiful facets on the shank; also marked with asian characters. This item is missing one small tool and a hand held mirror, but is in otherwise good condition.

Rare sewing set made in England.  The case is made of black leather which unfolds to reveal many M.O.P. handled tools including a perfume corkscrew, file, tweezers, and 2 button hooks (one of which has an ivory handle).  It also has a cloth needle holder and many different kinds of vintage string.  There is also a blue silk lined pocket.  We found a gold foil coat of arms which we believe goes with the maker of this set or may have belonged to the previous owner.  Will send pictures on request.

This is a lot of two rare perfume corkscrews. Perfume corkscrews are small corkscrews that were used to take the cork out of perfume/medicine bottles back before screwtops were invented. One is mother of pearl (MOP) and the other is brass. The MOP one is small. The MOP one is in perfect condition. The brass one is solid brass and very heavy, it measures 5 and 1/2 in. it looks to be home-made, but none the less it would make a good addition to any corkscrew collection.
